Phil's style leans towards simple, robust forms that function well and can stand up
to the demands of every day use.
Each piece has been wheel thrown or slab built from stoneware clay and finished
with simple glazes which underscore the primitive nature of the work.
"I strive for glazes which will run
together in a way that will add interest and character to the work, whilst enhancing the form."
All pots are
fired with food safe glazes and can be used in the oven, dishwasher and microwave oven, although care should be taken to avoid
thermal shock.
